Katie Mason

After graduating from the University of Edinburgh with a Master of Arts in History of Art, Katie used her excellent written and analytical skills to pursue a career in Public Relations. She joined London-based agency Bacchus Media in 2009 as an Account Executive specialising in the promotion of luxury hotels and restaurants.

Working extensively with brands such as The Langham Hotel Group, Beefeater 24 Gin and Gaucho Restaurants, Katie developed an understanding of exclusive brand management, bespoke marketing and traditional PR campaigns. Katie assisted at many high-profile client events, requiring impeccable presentation, communication and discretion.

In early 2010, Katie decided to gain additional experience on the client side of marketing and joined Estée Lauder Companies to work in the PR office of the Bobbi Brown cosmetic brand.

Later that year, Katie relocated to Cape Town and quickly gained experience in the South African market as Account Executive and Brand Ambassador at Red Carpet Concepts, a Public Relations agency specialising in lifestyle and consumer brands.

In early 2011, Katie joined Luxury Branding as an Analyst and Project Coordinator. She played a key role in the team responsible for the rebranding of Mauritius-based hotel group Naïade Resorts Ltd. This extensive, multi-faceted project required a skill set ranging from client liaison and event coordination to detailed copy writing. Katie also project managed the operational side of the new LUX* Island Resorts brand implementation.

As a perfectionist and confident communicator, Katie brings enthusiasm to deliver first-class results, striving to achieve a balance between client satisfaction and efficient multi-tasking. Katie is creative, sociable and her interests include photography, writing, running and luxury travel experiences.
