Vanessa De Nardi
Vanessa De Nardi graduated from Bristol University in 2011 with a BA(Hons) in Historical Studies, an educational background that fuelled her keen interest in how social, cognitive and emotional factors influence individual and institutional decision-making.
It was this fascination with the mechanisms that drive public choice that motivated Vanessa to embark on a career within the wider field of media and marketing.
Vanessa’s early career saw her gaining valuable experience as a branding consultant at leading luxury and lifestyle communications agency, Luchford APM, and later at Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising, which exposed her to the marketing of prestige brands including Riva Yachts, Nespresso, Orient-Express and Philippe Starck interiors.
Vanessa next moved in-house where she worked as Marketing and Events Executive within L’Oréal’s Professional Products Division. Here, she gained invaluable experience in project managing large-scale experiential campaigns and implementing associated web strategies and launch collateral. Liaising with major portfolio clients and High Net Worth celebrities, Vanessa was integrally involved in the production of the prestigious annual L’Oréal Professionnel Style & Colour Trophy, which also matured her understanding of the fashion business.
Curious to broaden her horizons, Vanessa moved from the luxury sector to an FMCG focus joining BrandOpus, a pioneering and multi-award winning branding and packaging design agency.
At BrandOpus, Vanessa worked on significant British and international accounts, including Twinings, Belvedere and MoneyCorp. Leading global branding projects expanded Vanessa’s knowledge of local and international market nuances and her role quickly grew to include new business development, enabling her to cultivate her commercial acumen and ability to identify client opportunities for organic brand growth.
Vanessa joined Luxury Branding in 2015 and has become an invaluable member of the team, contributing to analytical thinking and managing a range of projects including brand programming exercises for Belmond, LUX* Resorts & Hotels and Lionstone Development. She is currently leading a destination development project in the Tuscany region of her fatherland, Italy.
Vanessa De Nardi is bilingual (English/Italian) and loves spending her leisure time travelling. Growing up a young ballet associate of the Urdang Academy, she continues to enjoy dancing as a method of exercise.
