Georgina Bennett

Analyst

Georgina Bennett graduated from the University of Cape Town in 2017 with a Bachelor of Social Science in Philosophy, Politics and Economics.

After graduating, she attended Polimoda School of Marketing and Design in Florence Italy, obtaining her Masters in Fashion Brand Management with distinction. This education developed an interest in research, luxury brand management and communication strategies.

As part of her MA she moved to New York, to work in wholesale at The Row, a luxury brand where she developed her skills in project management, copywriting and public relations.

After a year in New York, she returned to South Africa to work as a brand manager and social media director for a sustainable denim start-up brand, TSHEPO Jeans. Through this role, Georgina successfully launched partnerships with Woolworths, Google and Standard Bank, harnessing her communication and copywriting skills through various projects and collaborations. Under the guidance of Georgina, TSHEPO Jeans won the TWYG award for sustainable development for best trans-seasonal brand in 2020.

In 2020, Georgina founded Safe Study Inc, a non-profit organisation specialising in foundation learning and educational support to children in the Hillbrow area of Johannesburg, South Africa. With a passion for education and community engagement, Safe Study is a project close to her heart that continues to grow through sponsorship from Nandos and the CLICK foundation. As a director she is actively involved in the development of the Safe Study School, all press and PR and fundraising.

Believing in continuous growth and constantly challenging herself to gain more knowledge and experience, Georgina began her second Masters in Public Relations through the University of the Arts London in September 2020. This Masters will only contribute further to her passion for people, communication strategies and brand development. With a strategic and communication orientated mindset, Georgina is able to contribute to project management, analytical thinking and research.

In March 2021 Georgina joined Luxury Branding as an Analyst.
