Ishaarah is a Cape Town, born-and-raised graphic designer and illustrator with six years agency experience acquired across a full range of design disciplines, from illustration and branding to art direction and user interface design.
In 2014, Ishaarah graduated in her final year Cum Laude from the University of Stellenbosch after a four year Bachelor of Arts in Visual Arts, Visual Communications Design.
In 2016, Ishaarah was selected as one of a class of ‘Emerging Creatives’ from the prestigious Design Indaba for her illustration work. This accolade has led to media features in publications including Visi Magazine, as well as national radio and TV appearances.
Ishaarah has worked on some of South Africa’s biggest brands and was part of the team winning the Nandos account for M&C Saatchi Abel as well as developing the branding of the iconic Zietz MOCAA Contemporary Art Museum.
Ishaarah has also worked closely with other local powerhouses like superbalist.com, takalot.com, Hollard insurance and rain. She has also flexed her design muscles on large global clients like Red Bull, BMW and BMW Morrorrad, Asics & Asics Tiger, and Yardley London.
